How to Create, Rename, and Delete Folders on iPhone, iPad

iOS and iPadOS are some of the most powerful mobile operating systems available right now, but when it comes to customization, very few users appreciate Apple. Thankfully, after a decade Apple heard complaints and prayers of iPhone and iPad users, and so here we are with iOS. You won’t believe it, but in my opinion, iOS is Apple’s one big shot to all the grumbles. Now, you have a so-called App Drawer in the form of App Library to stack all the applications in one place, the ability to add the widgets on the home screen, App Clips to avoid downloading unnecessary apps, and much more.

If your ambition is to mitigate the home screen, then simply remove the apps from the home screen, and when needed, swipe all the way right to the App Library to access it. Otherwise, bundle the apps into the App Folders as we used to do before old iOS. This tutorial will show you how to create, rename to give funny folders name on your iphone, and delete the app folders on the iPhone and iPad.

There is no specific way or option available to create an app folder on the iPhone and iPad. Long press the app icon until it starts shaking. Drag and drop the applications that you want to store in a single app folder. With the latest update, you can also grab more than one app and move them in a bundle, all at once.

  1. Unlock the iPhone.
  2. Tap on the App folder of which you want to change the name.
  3. Now, long press any app icon stored in that folder until it starts jiggling.
  4. Tap on the name of the folder, and rename it.
